Incident response for live battle rooms.

Use this checklist when the overlay, login, payments, blog publishing, or sponsor media pipeline is degraded. It avoids secrets and keeps the public response path clear.

1. Triage

  1. Check /healthz, container health, and recent deploy timing.
  2. Confirm whether the issue affects all rooms or one creator room.
  3. Capture failing URL, browser, room code, and UTC timestamp.

2. Contain

  1. Pause sponsor moments if media playback is unstable.
  2. Switch TikTok LIVE provider to the known-good mode when account linking is degraded.
  3. Disable automated marketing posts until generation and publishing are verified.

3. Recover

  1. Rollback the last risky deploy or restore the last known-good environment backup.
  2. Restart the app container after env changes and wait for healthy status.
  3. Verify homepage, login, dashboard, overlay preview, payments, and email delivery.

4. Communicate

  1. Use support@intothebattle.com as the customer recovery route.
  2. Tell affected creators what is degraded, what still works, and the next update time.
  3. After recovery, record the root cause and preventive follow-up.
