1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to IntoTheBattle websites, creator accounts, the Command Center, overlay previews, live room tools, sponsor and media features, blog and marketing tools, support communications, and related services that link to this Policy.
This Policy does not control TikTok, PayPal, OBS, TikTok Studio, WriteFreely, Microsoft Clarity, Segment, Google, Postmark, hosting providers, or other third-party services. Those services may collect and process information under their own policies.
2. Information We Collect
Account and creator setup information
We collect information you provide when creating or managing an account, such as name, email address, password or authentication method, room identifiers, setup status, profile details, dashboard preferences, support messages, and similar account records.
TikTok and live event information
When you connect or configure TikTok LIVE features, we may process TikTok usernames, linked account identifiers, OAuth state and token records, live connection status, chat commands, viewer display names, comments, likes, follows, shares, gifts, battle actions, player stats, KOs, teams, effects, and other event metadata needed to run the overlay.
Uploaded content and public submissions
We may collect media, filenames, metadata, thumbnails, sponsor videos, backgrounds, audio files, blog drafts, battleground posts, creator comments, sponsor campaign notes, and other content you submit or upload.
Payments and subscriptions
If you start a paid plan, we may store plan status, PayPal subscription identifiers, billing dates, checkout status, cancellation status, and related entitlement records. Payment providers process payment details according to their own policies.
Device, usage, and diagnostics data
We collect technical information such as IP address, user agent, browser and device details, log events, pages visited, referring URLs, UTM parameters, overlay connection status, error reports, performance metrics, consent state, and security diagnostics.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, secure, and support creator accounts.
- Provide the Command Center, signed overlay URLs, rooms, live battle mechanics, commands, stats, effects, sponsor scenes, and media playback.
- Connect and monitor TikTok LIVE events where configured.
- Process subscriptions, trials, plan access, billing status, and entitlement checks.
- Moderate, debug, protect, and improve the service.
- Send transactional email, support replies, account notices, billing notices, and product updates where permitted.
- Measure product performance, signup flows, marketing campaigns, and site usage when analytics are enabled and consent requirements are satisfied.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud, and respond to valid requests.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We may share information in these situations:
- Service providers: with vendors that help us host the site, store data, send email, process media, run analytics, publish blog content, process payments, provide customer support, or secure the service.
- Live streams and overlays: viewer display names, comments, commands, gifts, stats, and battle events may appear in the creator's overlay, stream, screenshots, clips, or recaps.
- Payment providers: with PayPal or other providers as needed for checkout, subscription verification, cancellation, webhook handling, billing support, and fraud prevention.
- Connected platforms: with TikTok or other connected services when you authorize or configure integrations.
- Sponsors and campaign reporting: with sponsors or partners in aggregate, de-identified, or campaign-specific form where needed to report sponsor moment delivery, playback, and performance. We do not intentionally provide sponsors with sensitive account credentials.
- Legal and safety: when needed to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, or prevent fraud.
- Business changes: if IntoTheBattle is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics
We use cookies and local storage for essential functions, including account sessions, dashboard access, TikTok OAuth state, signed overlay access, consent state, and anonymous growth measurement identifiers.
Analytics and marketing measurement may use cookies, local storage, event logs, Microsoft Clarity, Segment, TikTok ad measurement, or similar tools when enabled. The consent banner lets visitors allow or deny analytics and TikTok ad measurement. You can also limit cookies through browser settings, but some account and overlay features may stop working.
Current product cookies and storage may include names such as session_token, tiktok_oauth_state, itb_growth_consent, and itb_growth_anon.
6. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain accounts, support paid plans, resolve disputes, satisfy legal and accounting requirements, preserve security logs, improve the product, and enforce our Terms.
Retention periods vary by data type. For example, account and subscription records may be kept while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward; uploaded media may remain until deleted or replaced; logs and analytics may be retained for shorter operational periods or aggregated. We may delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can use account tools to update certain profile and room settings. You can deny analytics through the consent banner or browser controls. You can disconnect connected accounts where the dashboard provides that option, and you can contact us for account, privacy, or deletion requests.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about how personal information is used and shared. To make a request, email support@intothebattle.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
We do not knowingly sell personal information. If future features involve activity that legally counts as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, we will provide the required notice and choice mechanism.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, token-based room access, secure cookies where available, upload restrictions, logging, rate limits, and operational monitoring. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, and you should protect your own account credentials, dashboard access, and overlay URLs.
9. Children and Viewer Safety
IntoTheBattle is designed for creators who can lawfully operate streaming accounts, connect third-party services, and manage live audiences. The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
Creators are responsible for using platform moderation controls and avoiding prompts that encourage viewers to share sensitive personal information in chat.
10. International Use
IntoTheBattle may process information in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your location.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the product, providers, integrations, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
